First Christian Church of Sherwood

Welcome to First Christian Church of Sherwood “Where Love is a Way of Life!” This is the mantra for our small body of believers with large hearts to share the love of Christ. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly community who welcomes all to worship, receive communion at the Lord’s Table and work side-by-side to serve one another, our community and our world. We are blessed with people and partners who have an array of skills, abilities, talents and colorful personalities to build the kingdom of God and share God’s love, grace, forgiveness, compassion and affirmation.

We claim Ephesians 3:20-21 for our church, “Now to God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to God be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” First Christian Church is an example of God’s miracle of taking little and multiplying it “exceedingly and abundantly above”!
